Hi everyone. Just a disclaimer, I'm not posting this to gain some pity. I simply want to lay out my story before I break down. It's your prerogative to judge whether you will believe if any of this is true.
My story started about more than a year ago. I was an OFW and flew back to the Philippines for a quick Christmas and New Year's break (2019 - before covid). It was a surprise visit for my parents which I haven't seen in almost 2 years. Please take note that I've never been back to the Philippines for more than 10 years. I usually go on a trip with my folks every 2-3 years outside the Phils.
Being it as a surprise, I didn't went back to my hometown for a few days as I wanted to surprise them on Christmas eve. I booked a hotel in Manila near the casino and MOA for a few days.
Knowing that I'll probably spend some days by myself, boredom got to me and I tried out Tinder - just for fun (I was single then, fyi). Got a few good matches - weeding out some catfish, fakes, and "service providers" - and tried out meeting with some of them.
Then, I got matched with this one girl. We decided to meet just for a drink. When we met, she brought her own car to drive us around. Since I'm not really familiar about the watering holes in Manila, I let her decide where to go. I told her to "surprise" me. We actually had a great night. We bonded, laughed, got a few drinks, and ended up back to my hotel. Needless to say, I had a great time and for someone who I just met on a dating to turn out to be such a catch - and so I thought.
We kept in touch after that. Went out for dinner a couple of times after that and everything was great. Got to know her a bit more. She's a recruitment manager at one of the top call centres here in the Philippines. That info alone got me really excited. She has already achieved so much, independent, and acted very sophisticated around that time. I thought, on a very rare case, that I found the one by sheer luck - on a dating app of all places. Call me naive now. I'm thinking the same, too.
Christmas eve came. The time had come for me to check out and surprise my family. We both decided to meet again after NYE. I was over the moon during the holidays. After spending NYE in Boracay with my folks, I checked in to a hotel in Manila a few days before my flight. We met a couple of times during that time. I'm aware that LDR does not work - at all. Still, on my last night, we decided to give it a go.
Back abroad (I will not provide the actual country. Since she or her family might recognize that this is me), we kept in touch and everything was going well. I actually planned to surprise her by going back to the Philippines after a few months. Really looked forward to it. Then, covid happened. So, plans changed and I have to wait for a flight to be available back to the Phils. As I waited, I kept hope alive. I already have an apartment in Eastwood waiting for us. I've been working at home pre-covid and doing well for myself so I thought giving us a chance back in the Phils should be just fine. Besides, of she's actually the one then the gamble will pay off. I was ecstatic.
July 2020. Finally got a flight back home. Can't even sleep on my way back. Got quarantined for a few days. Once that's all done, I was counting the minutes while in a cab to meet her again. Our reunion was great and exceeded all of my expectations. We spent being on lockdown in our new place. Everything was perfect. When they eased the lockdown, I met some of her relatives. I immediately felt that I belonged. We shared drinks, got invited to their family gatherings, and even hosted their Christmas party last year. I really thought back then that everything was going as great as they can be. I wish I could've known what will happen next.
A few months after that, we found a better place in our neighborhood. It was amazing. We immediately got it and moved in. So, the usual routine. Weekdays, we work at home and got our dinner outside. Weekends, we meet her parents or some of their relatives for a casual drink. Everything went like this until a few days ago..
Don't get me wrong, we've been in a few fights during this. Nothing really serious but I should've seen some signs and ran away as fast as I can. There was an instance where the fight got really bad and she threatened me that she'll hurt herself if I will not stay. I tried stopping her and got my finger clipped by a kitchen scissor in the process. She was in shock (due to the blood all over our floor) and got back to her senses immediately. She apologized and I thought it was just ok as long as she understands that this type of accident wouldn't happen if she'll act more rationally.
I initially thought that her emotional blackmails would stop. They didn't. Only got worse. I tried calming her every single time. The end of our fights is usually the same: We fight, she'll blackmail me, hurt me physically in the process, then we'd make up. I know, I'm an idiot.
This went on. Then just a few days ago, the worst thing happened. We were in her parents house to grab a couple of drinks and chat. They have some guests which I've already met a couple of times before. Out of nowhere, she went to a corner. I asked everyone where she was and I approached her. Asked her what was the problem then she suddenly started a fight. Asking me why I haven't introduced her to my parents yet. So, I answered that we're still new and I want to make sure that we're both sure before that happens. I cared so much about my mum and would like to introduce her only if we're sure where we are going with this. She immediately yelled: "Well, fuck your mum!". I whispered and gave her a chance to revert whatever she just said. She might have seen how furious I was and then she yelled: "Dad, he's gonna hurt me!". I was stunned. It felt like being wrongly accused of rape. I'm not perfect but I've never hit a girl before. She knew that. How? Because I told her that I'd rather break up with a girl than get violent. I meant that no matter how much they would hit me. I have no qualms with you if you think that this is BS. I'd doubt myself, too. Considering the things I just told you.
Her dad immediately went to us. He asked what's wrong and she said that I was planning to hurt her. Being confused, stunned, and probably in shock - I kept quiet and just lowered my head. Clenching my hands, I was thinking nothing else. I just want to go. I just want to leave her. Then they ganged up on me, her dad, mum, and her. They actually made me feel that I was the bad guy. I can't even remember what they were telling me. I thought I got deaf for a while. All I can hear is white noise and my heartbeat. A few minutes after that, she insisted we go home. Her dad said that she should stay. When I heard that, I got a glimpse of hope to escape. I was thinking of packing my stuff immediately once I get back to our place and go somewhere else. Then, she shouted at her dad that she'd rather drive me home and get back. For some reason, they let her. I'm just done by then.
On our drive back, she kept talking to me but I never understood or heard anything. I was in a daze. All I remembered was that we were already in the underground parking lot. I told her that I want to break up - I'm done. I even begged her if we can deal with this as adults. She went ballistic. Not thinking, I ran out of the car. She got back in the car and chased me in the parking lot. I hid behind some of the parked cars. She kept on shouting like an unhinged person.
A few minutes later, the security guy came out of the elevator. Must have seen us in the cameras. As I don't want to create a scandal, I approached him and told him that she was just drunk. He radioed in that the person with her is there. I got confused. Was I the one they were after? A few seconds later, her dad got out of the elevator with another security guy. I just slumped there realizing what the actual fuck happened. They thought I was gonna hurt her. Her dad even came to her rescue and told me not to hurt her. I can only take so much for a night.
Helpless, I complied to get back to our condo. Her dad left. I never talked. I never moved once we got back. I know that I'm fucked. When they left, she immediately shouted at me. Forcing me to get back with her. Threatening me that she'll kill herself if I don't. A few slaps here and there. More crying. I guess I don't even know what's going on anymore.
At that point, I knew I was done. I gave up. But I'm not giving myself up to her whims. She told me again to watch her hang herself. I replied: "I don't care anymore. Go. My life is over anyway. Nobody would believe me.". She pretended to do it but didn't go ahead with it. After I saw that, I told myself that whatever happens next that I wouldn't care anymore.
She's still here at my place. I refuse to talk to her. I can't leave. Even if there's a small indication that I'm about to leave, she panics. Believe it or not, she actually slept in our door last night just to make sure that I can't leave.
I haven't eaten or taken a shower for a few days now. This is my form of protest. Not sure how long I'll last. Don't pity me, I beg you. I took a gamble. I held unto hope that things will get better. I thought that I can be with someone that I will grow to be with. I have no regrets either way

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - The Graton Casino in Rohnert Park is closing its doors to the public on New Years Eve, instead hosting a private party, according to their website.
Sonoma County Officials say they are aware of the event.
"It would be our preference to not have a party with 4,000 people indoors," said Paul Gullixson, a spokesperson for Sonoma County during a press conference Wednesday.
Sonoma County Public Health officer Dr. Sundari Mase said she had been in touch with the casino, but has no jurisdiction over sovereign land.
Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt, who has been skeptical about closing things like outdoor dining, was more forceful in his rebuttal, saying the science is clear about large indoor gatherings.
In a statement, the tribal chairman Greg Sarris told ABC7:"The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria continue to work closely with the Sonoma County Public Health Officer. Graton Resort & Casino will remain open on a limited basis and continues to exceed all CDC safety requirements. In addition to those safety measures already in place, team members are tested for COVID-19 every two weeks and wear digital devices that ensure social distancing. Bars will continue to remain closed, and walk up alcohol service will end nightly at 9:00 pm."

Here's a list of most of the Cube V3 "fun facts" shown on the cube before the show!

A few years ago I worked for a large casino property in their customer care department. While we don't normally go to the front desk and see guests face - to - face, we are the ones who hear from them before, during, and after their stays. When a guest calls to make a reservation we would look them up in our player database to check for comps like free or discounted rooms, meals, ect. That same database would also tell us if that player is in any trouble with the property and a big red message would pop up with important messages. (It also contained details and written complaints by casino hosts and managers about a customer's negative behavior. I used to keep a list of favorites to read when we were slow. Those people would be stories unto themselves.) There are many ways to get yourself in trouble at a casino and some of those will get you "86'd" (banned) from the property. If you push it, you can get perma-banned from ALL of the company's properties globally.
The cast:

HM - hotel manager. The big guy, the kahuna, one of the Holy Trinity of the casino.
The scene is New Years Eve 2016. I am a "host coordinator", meaning I served as the casino host for people who didn't have one assigned to them and a catch-all for the real hosts who were unable (or didn't want to) to answer their phones. I also served as a backup supervisor.
I'm walking around the office helping out, headset around my neck and y-jack in my pocket (lets me plug into someone's phone and take over the call without having to run back to my desk) and one of the regular coordinators waves me over.
CC: This guy is demanding a casino host.
VK: Does he have one?
CC: Yeah, but they said they aren't taking his calls
(1st red flag)
VK: What's he want?
CC: He wants to make sure his reservation is still in the system.
(2nd red flag)
VK: Ok, put him on hold and move over.
CC puts the guy on hold and I pull up a chair to their computer. They already have his player's profile and reservation pulled up. The reservation is indeed in the system, but I see it was cancelled by HM. His profile has the big red 86 message and the notes read like a novel of stuff this man has done to deserve the temporary ban he has received including hurling racial slurs at the dealers and harassing/be rude to everyone in the building.
I am now in a forest of red flags.
CC and I look at each other, she's giving me a "better you than me, sis" look. I make the sign of the cross over the phone as I take BG off hold.
VK: Hi, this is VK, I'm the host coordinator here tonight. Your regular host is not available at the moment, but I will be happy to assist you.
BG: Whatever. Is my [expletive] reservation there or not?
VK: I was able to find your reservation here sir, unfortunately we will be unable to accommodate you tonight as you have been banned from the property during this time.
BG: I know I was banned, but I made this reservation before that! I should still be allowed in!
VK: Sir, I do not recommend you do that. If you do we will call local law enforcement to remove you from the property.
BG: I don't [expletive] care about that you [string of expletives]. Who do I need to talk to to [expletive] fix this?
VK: There is no "fixing" this, sir. You were temporarily banned based on your past behavior at our establishment.
BG: I don't care, I'm checking in tonight and you can't stop me!

I walk out of our office and over to the front desk (it takes less to walk over there than to call them on a busy night) I find the front desk supervisor and fill her in. As we're talking I hear a familiar streak of curses being hurled. We turn and there is BG. Trying to check in. FD goes to call the local PD and I call HM.
HM: Tell me this is important.
VK: Yes, sir. We have an 86'd guest trying to check in. He's been warned multiple times to leave and he's not budging.
HM: Did you call PD?
VK: They're en route.
HM: I'm on my way.
HM arrives a few minutes later. Our security has also arrived and has BG pulled away from the front desk. BG is still cursing a blue streak at all of us. BG sees the new challenger and starts on the same tirade.
HM shuts him down. Informs him who he's speaking to and that BG is being permanently banned from all our company's locations. PD arrives shortly after and escorts him out. Because of the threats he was hurling at us, he gets to spend NYE in the city lock-up.

TL;DR: Banned guest tries to check in at our property. Gets perma-ban and a night with the PD.

Hi All,
The wife and I are from Australia and looking to travel to America over December 2020/January 2021 for our first time. DecembeJanuary is the only time she can get a decent chunk of time off, so we can’t really travel at any other time. We actually prefer the colder weather, we travelled all over Europe (London, Paris, Belgium, Swiss Alps, Italy, Budapest, Germany etc.) in December 2018, and was pretty rushed, moving countries every 2-3 days (Part of a topdeck group). So prefer to be able to take a bit more time in each place this time.
We saw a travel agent on the week, we usually book ourselves (Which we will probably do again) but thought we would see what a travel agent recommended. Their accommodation suggestions were expensive (Around 8.5K AUD for 29 days) considering every place they recommended was minimum $250-300AUD per night. Looking at Booking.com/Agoda, there seemed to be a lot of cheaper alternate options close to where they recommended.
Length: About 4 weeks, Maybe 5? (A bit flexible on this)
Budget: It’s not going to be cheap estimating 15-20k AUD (Flights from Australia at this time are around 1.7-2k AUD each), including flights, accommodation, spending money…. But we can be a flexible on the budget.
Accommodation: We don’t want to stay in fancy and expensive places, we are more cheap AirBnB travellers.. As long as it’s clean, has it’s own bathroom/shower and in a good location we are more than happy with that because we are usually out 90% of the day when we travel
Things to do and see: We generally can plan and find our own things to do when travelling. The only things we are really set on seeing landmark wise are Alcatraz, Disneyland and The Grand Canyon. As long as there is good food and plenty to keep us busy, we are happy.
Itinerary:
Boston: 9th December to 12th December – Staying at Hyatt Regency Boston
We don’t really know much about Boston, was recommended by the travel agent. So we could drop this off to have more time in other places, or swap it for somewhere else?
New York: 12th December to 17th December – Staying at Holiday Inn Manhattan (Financial District)
I’ve spoken to a few people and they’re recommended extending the New York stay to at least 7 days? What's the best area to stay here, everyone seems to say Midtown?
Philadelphia: 17th December to 21st December – Staying at The Logan Philadelphia, Curio Collection by Hilton
New Orleans: 21st December to 26th December – Staying at Wyndham New Orleans (French Quarter)
San Francisco:
26th December to 30th December – Staying at The Cartwright Hotel - Union Square, BW Premier Collection
Las Vegas: 30th December to 1st January – Staying at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
Anaheim: 1st January to 4th January – Staying at Four Points by Sheraton Anaheim
San Diego: 4th January to 7th of January – Staying at Solamar San Diego
San Diego was again recommended by the travel agent, so we are happy to either swap this or drop it off completely?
Travel agent also recommended driving from San Francisco to Las Vegas then Anaheim then onto San Diego?
Was possibly trying to get Washington DC in there too, but that was just an after thought.
Let me know your thoughts and if there are any places you recommend swapping, spending more time in or dropping somewhere off completely? We are pretty flexible with what we are doing and where we are going and more than happy for suggestions.
We were actually thinking of doing the West Coast first and then moving onto the East Coast. But the travel agent recommended it the other way around?

My 3 friends and I are visiting Montreal for 4 days from the 29th to the 2nd. While we are trying to be on the frugal side, it's looking a little splurgy right now - we're okay with that as long as we have a good time, so let me know if any of these things are not worth the time/cost. We've done some research and this is what our itinerary looks like so far:
Monday
Arriving to our St Laurent Airbnb at around 3-4PM..

• Spend a couple of hours in the Montreal Science Centre
  
• Dinner at La Khaima (L'Express or Kazu are our second choices)
  
• Try to catch a comedy or live music show
  

Tuesday

• Drive to L'Avenue Beauty's for breakfast
  
• Old Port activities: Skating at the rink, then hit up the Notre-Dame Basilica and the Archaeology Museum
  
• Grab Schwartz's Main on the way home
  
• Club Rouge NYE event (Bought tickets)
  

Wednesday

• Cure the hangover with some poutine from La Banquise
  
• Try to not lose too much money at the Casino
  
• Whiskey and Cigars at Whiskey club (might get axed if we don't have enough time)
  
• Quick bite at Rotisserie Romados Ma Poule Mouillée then go bar hopping on St. Laurent
  

Thursday

• Bagels from St.-Viateur for breakfast, then free day before we leave at night

I know this probably looks very touristy.. Does this look like a good time, and would you change anything if it was your friend's first time in MTL? Any recommendations would be great, thank you!!

Thinking of hitting Niagara for NYE, there's a free concert with a couple of good bands, and I am thinking that the fish might be out...and a little tipsy. I would be sitting down just after midnight.
Anyone ever hit the tables on NYE? Is it looser than usual, or does everyone think like I do, and the sharks come out to feed?

Currently planning a vegas trip. Her birthday is December 28th. Our fly in date is very flexible (both of us will be off school/work), but we are 100% flying out the 2nd (meeting my parents for another trip & they'll pay to fly us out of vegas on that day). Overall, this sub has been incredibly helpful finding shows we should see and how to eat on a budget. That said, I have some questions regarding mainly hotels/flights & booking.

• Trying to decide when to fly in. On Expedia, the per person price for MGM + a one-way trip to vegas is $649 for 6 nights (arrive the 27th), $609 for 5 nights, and $574 for 4 nights. So essentially per extra day to stay in vegas is only ~$40 plus ~$42 in daily resort fees. I'm pretty sure this is because the flight gets more and more expensive as people start to travel for NYE? Anyway, right now we're headed towards the 6 night option, because that way we could be in LV at midnight for her birthday. That said, I'm not really sure how important it is - if 6 nights is way too much for vegas, maybe we'll knock it back and spend that money elsewhere. Note we won't be renting a car.
  
• The MGM seems to be the cheapest strip casino I can find to stay at, both on google hotels and on expedia as a package. Luxor is similarly priced. Google says it's only a 20 min walk to the heart of the strip from MGM, so would this be a fine option? I also hear MGM is good for our age group. Any other suggestions would be great, but hopefully trying to keep the budget around the prices listed above.
  
• When should I book? I'm guessing that there's no downside to booking right now and hotel prices will only go up, right?

Edit: One more thing: most people here say that directly booking through the hotel is the best bet, but Expedia seems to do way better, especially with packaging the one-way ticket as well. For the $649 per person deal above, plus $256 resort fees, it comes to $1550 on Expedia total (flight/hotel). On MGM's website, the hotel alone comes to $1,200 and flights right now are showing at least $550 for two people. So booking direct would be ~$200 more expensive in this case. Any thoughts? Really trying to drive flight/hotel cost down as much as possible...
Another thought: Neither of us are huge on gambling, we'll definitely play some cheap slots and I'd like to play a few cheaper blackjack tables but nothing crazy.

Usually I’d spend my NYE in at home maybe with my mom or by myself . But this year I was thinkin I’d kill 2 birds with one stone ? I thought about getting dolled up and hitting the casinos, 1 to try my luck and enjoy a room for the night, enjoying the countdown n fun that’s all included, and 2 to perhaps pick up new clients. I’ve been to the casinos a few times but never to work . Any SW use that scene as their platform and have any tips ? I’d like to think it’s worth the pay out with guys especially if they hit big as well on such a jumping night $$

So after being in the urgent care the day before for a cold that wouldn't go away, the doc's patched me up and I was good to go out for NYE the next night.
We met with her friends at a local restaurant and bar, had dinner and drinks.
My girlfriend is a bit of a light weight and was probably the drunkest out of our group of friends. I was still not 100% so I didn't drink a whole bunch.
Now what I'm going to tell you is probably a huge beta move on my part and I don't want to make up excuses, but since I was not feeling great and super tired, I wasn't on my game. I literally didn't feel like putting effort into the situation and really just wanted to leave.
As we past by this guy that my girlfriend knew, she drunkenly mentioned that she slept with him in the past. I said to her " Cool, not sure why ur bringing that up tho" and brushed it off completely. ( obviously she wanted to stir up some sort of emotion). The guy had a girl with him, so I didn't see us even having to encounter him at all ( which we never did).
My girlfriend is more outgoing drunk than when sober ( usually she is reserved and somewhat shy) and some other guy kept coming over and trying to talk to her. I played it cool and sat back with her friends and continued drinking my drink while I was dancing with her friends and keeping an eye on the situation. After awhile, this guy got touchier and touchier so I went over and grabbed my girlfriend and told her she should be hanging with her friends. She briefly acknowledged, but moments later went back to this guy. Again, trying to play it cool, I didn't chase after her.
I lost it at the moment he put his arms around her and got super close. I went over and confronted them, my girlfriend told him I am her boyfriend and he sort of backed off, but also was like a scab that wouldn't go away. At this point my girlfriend realized that I'm going to snap if this shit continues, so she tried to play nice and grabbed both our hands and started dancing. I didn't play into it, walked back over to her friends and she eventually followed. I cooled down and hung out for a bit and then the guy came back. I grabbed our coats, threw hers at her and we gathered her friends and left ( it was almost closing time anyway and her sister was outside to pick us up).
The entire car ride home, she was grabbing at me, she was super horny and although we didn't have sex that night, it did happen the next morning ( after I called her out on her bullsh*t).
We woke up the next day and I called her out on everything that happened the night before. I told her that if she wants to do that sh*t, she can, but I won't be in the picture anymore. I told her it puts me in situation I don't want to be in and it looks very disrespectful. I have a certain reputation to uphold and I don't want to look like a chump. She apologized and said it would never happen again and that she got carried away with the drinking. This being the first time it happened, I did call her out, but I also gave her the benefit of the doubt and accepted her apology. ( She's never done anything in our relationship to jeopardized it.) We proceeded to have sex and everything was back to normal.
Now that it is a few month's later, everything is going well, still having sex regularly, she always goes out of her way to do things for me. We also booked a trip for vacation for a week in Mexico in a few months. ( no I didn't pay for her).
Soon, we will be put into a similar situation. Myself, girlfriend and her friend and her boyfriend are all going to a club/casino for one of their friends birthday's within the next week or so. How would I handle this situation differently ( now that i won't be sick and I will be on top of my game) if it were to happen again. I have no issues with her socializing, but I expect her not to cross that line of letting anyone get too touchy/try to make moves. I expect her to tell guys to f*ck off if they cross that line. Can someone give me some insight on how to fend off these scabs and keep my girlfriends focus on me and her friends? ( Being 31, I don't go out all that much, not a huge party person anymore. My girlfriend isn't much of a party person either. My 20's were a different story and I used to pull chicks all the time).
I usually take the role of alpha male when it is just me and my girlfriend together (I'm goal oriented, driven, workout hard af at the gym, focus on making money and focus on being happy). In certain social settings though, I don't feel as alpha, usually because I am not 100% comfortable in club type scenarios. I was also wondering if anyone could give some sh*t tests to run on these guys who try to hit on my girlfriend so I look like I have HV.

Don’t scoff, just read. I’ll refer to our main character as Alexander as the band has instructed us in “Anyways.”
A hotel and casino on the moon would require monumental funds to construct; only a very successful business would have the money to take on such a project. Wayne Enterprises, the lucrative company owned by Bruce Wayne through most Batman stories, certainly has the money to undertake it. In fact, at some point in his life, Alexander swims with the economists who made the venture possible. We know that Alexander somehow has a connection to the Wayne family, as he spent a very memorable NYE at Wayne Manor. We also know that he has spent quite a few nights there, waiting by the Batphone for his lover to return. A unique vehicle, the Batmobile’s low beam glow is easily recognized as Bruce returns home to him from nights of crime fighting. Many papers have been published about Bruce Wayne’s mental health, most concluding that he likely has some form of mental illness. Donning the Batman suit and fighting crime are his coping mechanism. Because he knows this, Alexander encourages Bruce to go out as his alter ego sometimes, dressed like a fictional character from the Golden Age (an era in which comic books, including those featuring Batman, flourished in a place called America).
Supervillains are an intrinsic part of Batman’s world. Killer pink flamingos, computer-controlled, are nearly identical to the work of The Penguin, who used computer- controlled killer penguins to terrorize Gotham City in “Batman Returns” (1992). Mr. Winter Wonderland, asking Alexander to come over for a chat, could be a 21st century Mr. Freeze, not yet hellbent on turning the world (moon) to ice. Even the leader of the free world, clearly a nod to the current state of US politics, is shown as a symbol of corruption in government as he enters the ring wearing his tight golden trunks. By the close of the album, Alexander admits that he and Bruce have made some unfortunate acquaintances through the years. The Batman saga is full of characters who begin as friends as allies of Bruce, only to later become powerful antagonists. Harvey Dent/ Two-Face in “The Dark Knight” (2008) is a prime example of this. I suppose they aren’t really friends anymore because Alexander and Bruce see Dent for who he truly is now; they shouldn’t ever have called him friendly at all if his true personality was a murderous madman. All these villainous characters help instill mass panic on this not-too-distant future colony.
Alexander’s love for Wayne shows throughout the Martini Police’s set. He admits that he fantasizes about him. When he’s apart from Bruce, he stands around in bars and waffles on to strangers all about Bruce’s passionate, beautiful martial arts moves and how much he respects them. A relationship with a superhero must be difficult; many modern hero movies reflect on this trend. In Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, Batman’s main love interest Rachel abandons all hopes of a relationship with Bruce in order to marry Harvey Dent. Alexander knows this. This is why, to close his set as Bruce Wayne listens intently from a shadowy corner, he croons that he has never stopped loving him once.

Apologies in advance for the length of this. A few months ago I (29M) met someone (29F) on bumble a bit out of the blue and we met in a pub to watch football. She looked average in the photos but she had a nice chat and I thought to myself why not maybe she's nice. I was in time for the match, ordered a beer started watching. She arrived and she was a lot prettier than in the photos, super casual wearing jeans, squared patterned shirt and all star. Incurring the risk of sounding sexist, she didn't look very hot but she was gorgeous and super chatty but I liked her. She was going through personal issues as her mum passed a couple of months back, she had to move back home and broke up with her boyfriend who was living through her finances, asking her moment to pay his credit cards etc. This means she had anxiety, panic attacks and I believe depressed as well although she was not letting that come out to others. So not a great place to start. However we hit it off pretty well, I ended up staying at hers that same night, sex was amazing. From then on, we would spend time together, sometimes we would plan to watch a movie but ended up just chatting and drinking wine. I was understanding about her current emotional condition and fragile state. I went in holidays in Italy and as soon as I came back she asked me should we be exclusive. I agreed as it was something I wanted too. She met my friends and she also invited me to her grandparents diamond wedding. We were talking every single day about everything that has ever happened in our lives even really personal stuff. The night before we were going to the diamond wedding I caught her in a pub with her brother and his friends (which are also her friends as they're the same age). I ended up tagging along, we got super drunk, went to the casino. I was playing black k Jack and she was sitting on the lap of one of her friends who she claims she grew up with, laughing and he was touching her legs (not like in a sexual way per say but kinda resting his hand on her thigh). I didn't like this one bit but I wasn't going to make a scene. After a while she drop her stuff (phone, car and house keys, wallet) with me to go to the toilet. A couple of hours passed I didn't see her. Went look I couldn't find her. After picking my car up( drunk) to look for her I went back to the casino, found one of his friends who phoned a friend she was apparently with (one of the childhood friends) gave me an address and I went to pick her up. On the way to hers she says she was having a heart-to-heart, forgot the time (how can you forget the person you're seeing for two hours, not even coming to tell I'm having a chat don't worry?). We went to the Gparents diamond wedding the next day, i met all her family. The next day she flying for work for two weeks, she has a breakdown she doesn't want to go, I console her tell her it'll be okay and she says she doesn't know if we should be seeing each other it's unfair to me and whatnot when she's phone me drunk telling me she liked me. She comes back from the trip, tells me it's better if we're just friends she can't "be worried about having to text someone daily and she has to worry about herself". I played strong and said whatever she needed I'd be there for her no matter what but I'd maybe to cutback a bit. We never sent a text ever again to each other. I cried when I got home, thought if her every single day until today, phantasised she'd start texting me and we'd be getting "together" again, talked to everyone I could because I didn't want to be alone and started seeing a counsellor. On NYE i was drunk and texted her wishing a happy new year. She texted back the same and took the opportunity to tell me she found a bf, totally out of the blue (?). She was super cold and merciless like she didn't care if I was suffering or not (which I'm sure she knows) when I always supported her in all her issues the best I could, more than I know any other guy would.. Now what's your opinion on what happened there? She wants to be exclusive, she invites me to her grandparents diamond wedding party, I met her family, her friends, we were planning to go on holidays together, etc and then she doesn't want to see me anymore and after a couple of months she gets a bf? Was she winding me up and she's not at all who she said she was? Can someone help me understand what the freaking deal is? Has this happened to you? Have you done something similar to someone?
